Serrapeptase is a potent proteolytic enzyme. Proteolytic enzymes are enzymes that are able to digest, or breakdown, proteins into smaller units. Each capsule provides 40mg of Serrapeptase, which is equivalent to 80,000iu.

Serrapeptase is a is naturally processed proteolytic enzyme isolated from the micro-organism Serratia E15. Originally discovered in the silkworm, it is produced by bacteria within the silkworm gut and is used to digest their cocoons.

Serrapeptase has been used in Europe and Asia for over 40 years, and there are scores of clinical studies concluding that Serrapeptase may provide powerful support for inflammation, digestion and cardiovascular support.

Serrapeptase supports the digestion of protein and non-living tissue, with no gastrointestinal side effects.

Our delayed-release Serrapeptase capsules allow the capsules to pass safely through the stomach before breaking down, providing a more optimal systemic delivery. Serrapeptase must be taken on an empty stomach.
